Originally founded as Impale, a new start after some line-up changes and a musical reorientation in early 2022 under the new name SUN EATER was the logical consequence for the 4 guys from Frankfurt/ Main, Germany. 

Already with the first EP "Genesis", which was released in 2021, a harder sound, away from the metalcore of the early days of the combo, was announced. True to the motto "What doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger", this step was the logical consequence after the first five years of band history. With newfound severity, the quartet comes to terms with the past and overcomes the associated setbacks. 

Uncompromising, brute and seethed with anger – SUN EATER come with hard-hitting deathcore in the luggage! 

The debut EP "Wrath Of Gods" under a new banner let SUN EATER quickly advance with their sound to a remarkable act within the German deathcore scene, which is not least strengthened by a bombastic production and the authentic aesthetics of the band.

"We are super proud!" says Tobi. "With the new lineup, we've managed to take a new musical direction and write songs we can all identify with 100%."

Between aggressive blast beats paired with tech death riffing, brute vocals and violent breakdowns, there are also groovy parts that encourage head banging. Discreetly incorporated synthesizer elements reveal a spherical, gloomy component, which merges the sound of SUN EATER to deathcore par excellence. This could also convince the audience at the first shows of the band, as guitarist Tobi says: "Even before the official release of the songs, we noticed at the concerts that the material works great with the people. The decision to change the band name and realign ourselves was further confirmed by this and gave us a lot of drive."

SUN EATER delivers a modern deathcore sound with "Wrath Of Gods", which convinces with embellished production of the newfound hardness in the sound of the band from southern Hesse. SUN EATER are resurrected and deliver with their debut EP an exclamation mark that makes you want more and gives us certainty that this chapter has only just begun to be written.
